We are now launching a benchmarking service for the credit card industry. This will cover every element of the value chain from account acquisition and processing, through operations and portfolio management, to credit performance, and considers these across differing products, business functions, channels and cost elements.

Card Benchmarking Service provides UK managers with
the data they need to make those decisions.
By way of example, some of the key metrics will include:
Cost/time from application to ‘card in hand’
Accounts activated per operations staff member
Total income per account
Funds recovered from closed accounts
This information will be critical in helping issuers look for new ways to improve their application, operation, and credit performance processes and to streamline activity at every step. In particular where some, or all, processing has been outsourced it is vital to understand how these processes are performing; this benchmark will enable participants to assess the performance of your own organisation against the competition. Participants in our other benchmarks have realised significant benefits as a result of the information provided, using the results to inform strategy and ongoing operational improvement programmes, as well as evaluate internal and third party performance.
